  16. Defensive Tactics Level II
  17. Introduction to Sociology
  18. Introduction to Psychology
  19. Physical Training I
  20. Physical Training II
  21. Correctional Operations and Procedures
  22. Sheriff´s Operations and Procedures
  23. Field Placements (Work Experience)


The Law Enforcement Foundations Diploma is a 2 year program compressed into 13 months.  Students will receive 205 instructional days at 6.5 hours per day for a total of 1332 instructional hours throughout the program.

The weekly schedule is:
Monday - Thursday 
0845 hours  to   1215 hours     Class
1215 hours  to   1300 hours     Lunch
1300 hours  to   1600 hours     Class

Students will learn in a variety of settings.  The subject content of each module will dictate the academic delivery.

  • Lectures and class discussion.
  • Guest speakers.
  • Field trips and facility visits.
  • Student presentations.
  • Group work and team activities (including role playing and scenario based training).
  • Information technology:
    • Videos
    • Audio-tapes
    • PowerPoint presentations
    • Computer / Internet use
  • Certifications by qualified instructors.
  • Recent newspaper articles and publications relevant to the module content.
